Public Beach Access in Walton County
We have compiled the list below of regional public beach access points located along Hwy 30A. If you are only interested in seeing the beach access points that are nearby the Prominence area, be sure to check the Prominence Beach Access list.
Walton County’s beaches along Scenic Highway 30A offer 50 public beach accesses along the 26 miles of Scenic Hwy 30A.
Regional Beach Access – Includes parking, restrooms, showers, bike racks and several are ADA accessible. Each regional beach access point also has a flag indicating current surf conditions. Lifeguards are on duty from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., seven days a week from March 1 to Sept. 30.
State Park Beach Access - Includes parking, restrooms, ADA accessible, and beach access. Each has an entry fee (such as $5 per vehicle, per day). Prominence guests tend to use Deer Lake State Park access located at 6350 E County Hwy 30A, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459. Along the 26 miles of Hwy 30A, there is also Grayton Beach State Park and Topsail Hill Preserve State Park.
Neighborhood Beach Access – Neighborhood beach access is primarily for walk-up traffic. Many of these also have flags indicating current surf conditions.

Please note that Beach Access for ALL Prominence homes are via South Walton public beach access points. Most guests utilize Deer Lake State Park beach access or other nearby public beach accesess. Prominence homes do not have direct beach access via Watersound Club nor do they have access to Watersound private club facilities.
